Subject: Assignment Schedule — decision needed by Tuesday

Hi Holly,

The current bridge arrangement expires on 23 July and, before I go on holiday, I need to finalise my position for August and September.

Kerv indicated in late June that the intention was to retain me on the Savills engagement for 2.5 days per week from August. However, I have not yet received a formal proposal or confirmation of the key commercial terms, including rate, working pattern, duration and notice period.

In the meantime, Michael at Savills is expecting to meet with me tomorrow to plan my availability for August on the assumption that I will be continuing. That planning cannot realistically be finalised while my contractual position with Kerv remains unresolved. Savills is planning around my availability, but there is currently no agreed engagement in place between Kerv and me to support that.

Given the uncertainty surrounding both the proposed reduction in my utilisation from August and the absence of agreed commercial terms, I have continued to explore other opportunities in parallel and have now received several offers. The opportunity I am most likely to accept is a full-time contract. The hiring manager requires my decision by the end of Tuesday, 21 July, as they are then going on holiday and need sufficient time to arrange the contract and account access.

My preference is to continue supporting Savills. I value the relationship we have built with the client and would like to see the work through. That is why I have held off committing elsewhere. However, I do now need a decision from Kerv. If I have not received confirmation in principle by the end of Tuesday, I will have no option but to accept the alternative role and will therefore no longer be available to Kerv from August.

The terms I would be looking for are:

• Engagement on Savills from 3 August to 30 September.
• Working pattern: 2.5 days per week (preferably Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning), with flexibility by mutual agreement where required.
• Day rate: £800 per day.
• Notice period: 4 weeks.

The proposed £800 day rate reflects the change in the engagement model rather than an increase for carrying out the same work. My current £700 day rate was agreed on the basis of full utilisation as a contractor dedicated to a single assignment. The proposed arrangement is for a retained independent consultant providing specialist expertise on a part-time basis alongside other client commitments. Kerv would no longer be engaging me on a fully utilised contractor basis, but retaining access to my expertise as required. That is a different commercial proposition, and the proposed rate reflects the reduced utilisation, increased flexibility and consultancy nature of the engagement.

An in-principal decision before Tuesday would be sufficient

I'm happy to discuss this further at any point between now and Tuesday.
